Now: those wishes are past. \u2015 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nonsenselit.org\/diaries\/people\/raikes-henry\/\">Chancellor Raikes<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nonsenselit.org\/diaries\/people\/hobhouse-john-1st-baron-broughton\/\">Lord Broughton<\/a>, Parker of Cuerton, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nonsenselit.org\/diaries\/people\/leake-colonel-william-martin\/\">Col. Leake<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nonsenselit.org\/diaries\/people\/cockerell-family\/\">Cockerell<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nonsenselit.org\/diaries\/people\/hughes\/\">Hughes<\/a> &amp; others \u2015 are of that magic circle.<\/p>\n<p>At 5 I walked to Hastings \u2015 &amp; sate a while with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nonsenselit.org\/diaries\/people\/scrivens-mrs-george\/\">Mrs. G. &amp; G. Scrivens<\/a>. Returned at 6\u00bd to dine.<\/p>\n<p>Very kind letter from Mrs. Empson \u2015 wh.
