Very fine \u2015 cloudless.<\/p>\n

Worked from 9\u00bd to 12 \u2015 at Damascus, when<\/p>\n

M.<\/a> & E. Parkyns<\/a>
\n T. & E. Abraham<\/a>
\n Ge. Bethell<\/a>,
\n Mr. Morier<\/a>,
\n C. Church<\/a>,
\n& Dickenson<\/a> came.<\/p>\n

So work was at an end: & at 2.30 I walked to Holman Hunts<\/a>. The portrait he is doing vexes me: & so does a plan of future painting, from Clarences\u2019s dream. \u2015 He himself is always one of the best men I have ever known.<\/p>\n

Thence I walked to Friths<\/a> \u2015out. Omnibus to city, & saw Mrs. Bell<\/a>. (Mr. B. out.) Whatever the Weld<\/a> case may be, it is certainly a stunner.<\/p>\n

Buss back to Regent St. & tried to dine at the St. James\u2019s Hotel: But they kept me so long, that I grew ill \u2015 & paid 4\/ for next to nought.<\/p>\n

Back by 8.30 & found F.L.<\/a> had been, & had left a note.<\/p>\n

Took medicine \u2015 Bowels don\u2019t act now a days \u2015 & bother abounds.<\/p>\n
