Worked \u2015 scantily at Beir\u00fbt, for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nonsenselit.org\/diaries\/people\/evans-walter\/\">Evans<\/a>\u2019s came \u2015 &amp; bought Interlaken: \u2015 then <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nonsenselit.org\/diaries\/people\/bunsen-henry\/\">Henry<\/a> &amp; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nonsenselit.org\/diaries\/people\/bunsen-ernest\/\">Ernest Bunsen<\/a> \u2015 then <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nonsenselit.org\/diaries\/people\/brant\/\">Brant<\/a> of Damascus \u2015 &amp; then one <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nonsenselit.org\/diaries\/people\/crowley-mr\/\">Mr. Crowley<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nonsenselit.org\/diaries\/people\/gould-john\/\">Gould<\/a>, whom I gave advice to anent Hotels &amp;c. in Rome. \u2015 Later Mrs. Ernest &amp; Mary (Battersby) Bunsen, \u2015 who is if possible more an angel than of old: \u2015 and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nonsenselit.org\/diaries\/people\/weld-family\/\">Charles &amp; Mrs. Weld<\/a> \u2015 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nonsenselit.org\/diaries\/people\/simpkinson-mrs\/\">Miss Simpkinson<\/a> &amp; Agnes Weld, \u2015 &amp; then <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nonsenselit.org\/diaries\/people\/egg-augustus\/\">Augustus &amp; Mrs. Egg<\/a>. So I did not get much work done, although the Beir\u00fbt <em>does<\/em> progress, however slowly. At 6.15 walked to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nonsenselit.org\/diaries\/people\/wyatt-digby\/\">Digby Wyatts<\/a>\u2019, \u2015<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13704\" title=\"1861-02-22\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nonsenselit.org\/diaries\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/1861-02-22.jpg\" alt=\"1861-02-22\" width=\"400\" height=\"292\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A most charming evening wholly. \u2015 The Digby Wyatts themselves there is no need of praising. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nonsenselit.org\/diaries\/people\/fergusson-james\/\">Ferguson<\/a> is delightful from fun as well \u02c7[from] as [<em>sic<\/em>] every kind of knowledge: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nonsenselit.org\/diaries\/people\/russell-mr\/\">Russell<\/a> &amp; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nonsenselit.org\/diaries\/people\/thornton-mr-2\/\">Thornton<\/a> both intellectual.
