Sent letters to Mrs. Empson<\/a> \u2015 Macbean<\/a>, \u2015 W. Beadon<\/a>, Mrs. Wyatt<\/a> \u2015 & Lady Bethell<\/a>. \u2015<\/p>\n

Rose at 6.30 \u2015 it is hardly light earlier now: \u2015 & worked till 8.15 on \u201cBaalbek.\u201d \u2015<\/p>\n

Breakfast. 2 nice letters \u2015 from T.G. Baring<\/a>, \u2015 asking me there: \u2015 & from Gussie Bethell<\/a> \u2015 asking for Autographs. \u2015 So I sent her Hallam Tennyson<\/a>\u2019s \u2015 Count de Paris<\/a>\u2019s, & Holman Hunts<\/a>. \u2015<\/p>\n

The rain poured in torrents from 6 to 9. \u2015 I went to work at 10: \u2015 & it rained till 1. At 3 it became fine.<\/p>\n

The picture went on very tolerably: but: \u03c0\u03c1\u03ad\u03c0\u03b5\u03b9 \u03bd\u1f70 \u1f40\u03bc\u03bf\u03bb\u03bf\u03b3\u03ae\u03c3\u03c9 \u2014 \u1f41 \u039a\u03cd\u03c1\u03b9\u03bf\u03c2 \u039b\u03b1\u03b9\u03bb<\/a> \u03b5\u1f36\u03bd\u03b1\u03b9 \u03bc\u1f70\u03bb\u03bb\u03bf\u03bd1<\/a><\/sup> a bore.
