Much colder. Snow on Salvador again. Violent wind & raining hail. Worked at the other Corfu of the 8 ― until too cold to work at all. Wrote Greek Exercises, & at 4 walked out with F.L. & the dog ― to beyond the Red Bridge ― raining all the while. ― Returned at 6¼ to dress ― & carriage to General’s. ― 2 Kotzieris ― 2 Herberts, 2 Collinsons ― 2 VitalesMajor Somerville ― self, & 2 A.D.C.s.1  Very agreeable dinner, & extremely good ― wine ditto. Lady B. is very pleasant. At 10½ went to Sir J. Reid’s, where were 2 Douglases, ― 2 Shakespeares, 2 OrmsbysLawrence, Gage, Remington, Forster, & F.L. Home at 11¼.
