Then to Zoo Gardens ― & drew vultures. ― Then to Drummond’s & drew out £100. & home by 5. Most sad letter from poor dear Lady Bethell. I must see her again. Wrote to her. W. Beadon has been today.

At 7 to Mrs. Stanley’s Mary S., & Arthur, ― Mr. Penrhyn & Emmy, ― Walrus & Adolphus.1 ― A.S. is now a really pleasant man of the world. Showed drawings. ― Home  at 11.30. ― Letters from Fairbairn, C. Fortescue &c. ―
