Very beautiful, clearycloudly lovely day.

Rose at 7 & worked pretty well all day at one of those 8 small paintings ― Constantinople. ― Bunsen called, & told me a good deal about the Prussian Jews. ― F.L. wrote. At 4¾ ― I walked out. The middling round. Very blind I am with these glasses at twilight. Dined alone at 7. The cessation of extreme cold is a great blessing. The Hendersons overhead are quiet folk generally, which is also a blessing. Παπαδόπουλος’s not coming is a bore. Sent letter to Ann.
